Audible Blood Glucose Measuring System for Patients with Diabetic Retinopathy

With this device, blind or weak-sighted diabetic patients can measure their blood glucose concentration by themselves. A commercially available home-use blood glucose sensor, a voice module, and a microcomputer module are assembled into one system. When a patient induces blood droplet to a sensor chip attached to the measuring device according to the voice guide, he or she can know the blood glucose concentration with voice in a minute.
