Survey on the use of ICT among persons with higher brain dysfunctions

A result of a survey is explained with regard to the use of ICT among persons with higher brain dysfunctions (HBD). The theme of the survey is whether they use ICT, such as navigation function of cellular phones and how to move outdoors. Their interests are also investigated about social infrastructures promoted by a governmental project. A questionnaire was given to persons with HBD and their families. As a result, it was concluded that about 70% of respondents use cellular phones and just 5% of them use the navigation function. It also revealed that nearly 60% of respondents lose their way when moving outdoors and some of them get lost easily even in their neighborhood. The result of the questionnaire also showed that only a few persons with HBD know the governmental project.
