Purpose of the Symposium

@Persons with severe disabilities have many activity limitations and participation restrictions. Orphan products are expected to be effective tools to facilitate their life. In order to develop orphan products, it is very important to integrate advanced technologies into proper system to fit the userfs needs. However, this process remains difficult, because of the complexity of the userfs characteristics (body functions and life style), but also because of other issues, such as small markets and social system.
@The purpose of this symposium is to put into evidence the problems related to the development of orphan products and propose guser participationh to overcome these problems.
