3. Recovery and reward system in rehabilitation training
Motivation is one of the factors that affect efficacy of rehabilitation training. When a client enjoys the training programs, the results can be better. These clinical experiences, however, have never been empirically proven. The neural mechanisms for this have not been revealed. We predict a positive correlation between the pleasure of rehabilitation training and the outcome of the training. Techniques called gamification will be applied to rehabilitation training and we try to prove the hypothesis. Neuroimaging methods will reveal the neuroanatomical relationship between pleasure and performance.
