Our research
Among developmental disorders, autism spectrum disorder (ASD) tends to focus on impairments in social communication, but it is also known that various sensory and motor problems exist, such as sensory hypersensitivity and hypoesthesia. Moreover, communication itself is based on the flow of information between people, and the processing of sensory information is closely related to it. Therefore, we are engaged in research to clarify the brain mechanisms behind these problems in daily life. Furthermore, our goal is to develop new supportive devices/methods by utilizing the results of this research to eliminate the "difficulties in living" associated with developmental disorders.
